Reginald Mitchell

Reginald Mitchell was born in 1950 and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, challenged by a learning disability, a fatherless home, and life in poverty.  He had grown up in the roughest projects of the town but he has recently moved to a better location with his sister. Reggie paints the architectural features and scenery of The Big Easy.  He captures the atmosphere and energy that resonates throughout New Orleans. Mitchell's work is on display at many of the well- known "House of Blues".  Usually he paints from photographs he finds in library books, magazines, postcards, etc. After Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, Reggie and his family moved to Houston, Texas.
